I hv been thru the PIL .. Here is smthing to add .. India TV carried the live interview of the terrorist also in which the terrorist was saying this is how a muslim is suppose to live , he was telling all the muslims to fight for the rights .. I wd appreciate if that point can be added .. Its very serious .. How they can telecast such a thing .. Where are the ethics ???????

Sensationalism of any kind is not news. I was appalled to see STAR news broadcast and the manner they sensationalised the whole proceedings. Also its unethical to rush in live cameras with no authenticty or veracity of information spoken on air. I switched off the news channel on teh first night and sourced information that I needed through the net. Television news in India is a joke.

i hate the current news channels with the way they show anything from dead people to people crying and the way they report it makes me angry. there is a family member dead and they go and ask how do u feel... i say let a relative of these reporters die and we`ll ask them how does it feel. we need a brand new gov. or even better a military rule, i would really not mind that for the safety

Definately steps need to be taken to clensen these parasites...talking about world peace is not going to help in todays world..Anger amongst the youth is good but we should be cautious..we are all caught up between the ideosyncracies of our terror network and politics to destabiliase our growth...its we who have to stand up and make a change...and i totally agree to Ramesh Menon -\' Television news is a joke in India\'

Please do mention about India TV . That they are showing fake calls.

News Channels battled it out for the sake of their TRPs....eventually helping out terrorists in a passive manner...hindi news channels were even more shameless/irresponsible in reporting the incedent....made it nothing short of a tamasha

Complete media blackout is standard operational protocol in all counter terrorist ops. Why is our media so damn irresponsible?

There is a very thin line between freedom and responsible exercise of that freedom, the media has missed out on both, sadly!

It was pathetic watching news channels such as aaj tak, india tv and times now.India TV for one aired a telephone conversation between their crew and someone claiming to be one of the terrorists in Nariman House. This so-called terrorist claimed that there were 5 of them in Nariman House whereas later it was confirmed that there were 2.How could a News Channel air something which they knew wasnt credible information. This kind of reporting does nothing but create panic among the general public! What happened to the committee which was formed to try and control these matters?!Obviously we need them to try and inform the nation as to the happenings but please do not sit and speculate on such matters.Report facts for heavens sake!Cheers

nuke those terrorists country right away...

  • aditya varma,

I\'ve wondering for the last few days - why wasn\'t the whole place cordoned off?? The NSG came and did their job -but who was overseeing the whole operation; the h\'nble home minister - I doubt it, he must\'ve been at the tailor\'s. Do we really have a cell/ministry to take care of such a situation - the army was just a surgical tool - either hand over the whole operation to them, which they would handled a lot more professionally than the others(am sure the first thng they\'d have done is cordon the whole area) or have a through set of professionals to oversee such ops and give \'em plenary powers

All over the world, the media is completely kept out and blacked out in a sensitive terrorist operation as monitoring and filtering information is high risk. Why can we not follow the same protocol here as the rest of the world does?

On day one the Star News repoter, sounded more like he was anouncing a tele match...Deplorable! Soon after by day two the wole city is covered with large posters from various political party\'s...with larger than life pictures of politicians...Is this an event our political party\'s should be trying to capitalize on, prior to the elections? It is time for each one of us to be the change & get our act together...
